Arrival, Made Invisible

The measure of a great agency is not what it does. It is what a captain and purser never has to think about.

About Vanuatu

The Service

Every vessel entering Vanuatu carries the same quiet question: will this be simple, or will it consume a day that should have belonged to the guests on board? VYA exists to make that question unnecessary. We manage the full weight of arrival and departure, customs, immigration, biosecurity, cruising permits, port formalities and government liaison, so that a captain's attention can stay where it belongs, on the vessel and the voyage.

This begins well before a bow ever crosses into Vanuatu waters. Advance notification, documentation and permits are handled ahead of arrival, coordinated directly with the relevant authority at whichever of Vanuatu's port the vessel is arriving, declared and undeclared.

“Those who know Vanuatu rarely describe it. They simply return.”

What We Coordinate

  • K
Advance arrival notification and pre-clearance documentation
  • K
Customs, immigration and biosecurity clearance at port of entry
  • K
Cruising permits and inter-island clearance formalities
  • K
Crew and guest visas, including last-minute or complex nationality requirements
  • K
Ports, Quays, and government charges managed on the vessel's behalf
  • K
Dock or Mooring arrangements if required

By the time a vessel is on approach, the outcome has already been decided.

About Vanuatu

Confidence, Built In

VYA holds direct, working relationships with every government department a visiting vessel will encounter. When a requirement changes and in a developing Pacific nation, requirements do occasionally change, we know before it affects a clearance, not after. Captains who work with us arrive once and are rarely asked to explain themselves twice.

This is agency work at its most complete: not a checklist completed on arrival, but a relationship maintained year-round, so that every clearance benefits from the ones that came before it.
